Taylor Swift is Taylor Alison Swift. She was born the 13th of December, 1989 in West Reading, Pennsylvania. Swift has been a pop/country singer-songwriter for more than 20 years. Swift's stories of romance and love at first sight have gained her widespread popularity during the 21st Century. Swift discovered a love for musical instruments as a young person and swiftly progressed from participating in children's shows before making her first appearance public. Swift was just 11 when she first performed The Star-Spangled Banner at a Philadelphia 76ers basketball game. The following year, she began writing songs, and also picked up the guitar. Swift wrote original songs which was influenced by country artists such as Shania Twain (now known as the Chicks) and Dixie Chicks. Her material was a reflection of Swift's experiences as a tween alienation. Swift left Pennsylvania along with her parents and moved to Tennessee, Hendersonville. she turned 13 to devote more time to reaching out to label representatives from the country genre.
