Ariel Gail

Prof. Gail S. Goodman teaches psychology at the University of California Davis. She is also the head of the Center for Public Policy Research. Her name is widely recognized as the pioneer of modern studies of eyewitnesses' memory, and children as witnesses. The number of publications by Professor Goodman is extensive She has also received a number of grants, and has been the winner of numerous awards both national and internationally. She consults with numerous countries and agencies around the globe regarding policy and the research of child victimization in the court system. Additionally, she provides consultant for the Special Assault Forensic Evaluation Center. (formerly Multidisciplinary Interview Center) and is a part of Sacramento County Child Protective Services. She is a member of numerous professional associations, including The Association for Psychological Science and the American Psychological Association (Divisions Experimental Psychology Developmental Psychology Society for the Psychological Study of Social Issues Society for Child and Family Policy and Practice American Psychology Law Society Psychology of women and trauma stress 56). She is the founder of the American Professional Society on the Abuse of Children, the Psychonomics Society Society for Research in Child Development, and the International Society for Traumatic Stress Studies. She has been president of the American Psychological Association's Developmental Psychology Division and three Divisions of Children and Families Policy and Practice Division American Psychology Law Society and Division Developmental Psychology.
