Anoushka Shankar

Anoushka Shankar is an British and American sitar player. She also sings. She was the youngest and first woman to win a British House of Commons Award. Anoushka shankar is one of the rising stars of India's sitar. She is the student and child of Ravi Shankar. She was born in London in 1982, and spent her early years shuttling back and forth from London as well as New Delhi. When she was only 13 the first time she performed in New Delhi took place. She then moved to Encinitas CA, where she earned the High School diploma with honors in 1999. Anouskha still has a promising music and acting career, even though she's young.
