Anna Gunn

Anna Gunn (born in America) is an American actor. Her most well-known role was Skyler in AMC's Breaking Bad drama, and was awarded the Primetime Emmy Award Outstanding Supporting Female Actress in Drama Series 2013 and 2014. Her other appearances comprise Jean Ward in The Practice as well as Martha Bullock from Deadwood. She was born in Sante Fe, New Mexico in the year 1968, Anna Gunn fell in love with acting during the Preparatory School she attended before her family relocated to Ohio during the latter part of 1970. She studied theatre through Northwestern University and spent a semester studying at the British American Drama Academy. Anna had a brief stint working in Chicago the theatre before moving to TV and film roles. Anna was cast as Arden on Down the Shore in the series of 29 episodes Down the Shore. The actress continued to make appearances as guest stars on a handful of TV shows and films including Seinfeld as well as NYPD Blue through the mid 1990's, when she was cast in a recurring role as Jean Ward in The Practice. Martha Bullock, a character that she played for a period of two seasons on Deadwood's season two. Skyler was on screen in Breaking Bad (2008). Sully as well as Deadwood was another movie she was a part of. Gunn played in David Schwimmer's Sex With Strangers, a production produced by David Schwimmer. Gunn also played a part in the play Numbered Day. It is a podcast consisting of four audio-based plays. The romance between Walter White and his wife Skyler is often the backbone of the narrative on Breaking Bad with the strained pull on their relationship and its eventual demise arguably echoing the same storyline of Walter White's final years of life.
